Mobile Paediatric Exercise Physiology

At Movement Milestones Exercise Physiology, our accredited exercise physiologist Emma Yallamas provides tailored exercise based interventions to assist with building towards therapy goals. Emma has experience with the below conditions and presentations:

Aquatic Exercise Physiology

At Movement Milestones Exercise Physiology, our accredited exercise physiologist Emma Yallamas brings extensive experience in delivering aquatic exercise physiology/hydrotherapy for both children & adults. Aquatic interventions can support a wide range goals in an engaging environment. Aquatic therapy can be used to:


· Support exercise rehabilitation in a low-impact environment

· Address water safety goals, such as building confidence and safe behaviours in and around the pool

· Improve strength, endurance, and cardiorespiratory fitness

· Improve mobility 

· Enable clients to perform exercises that may be difficult on land, using water’s buoyancy for support

· Deliver therapy in a fun, motivating, and sensory-rich environment

· Offers sensory regulation benefits

Reporting & Other Services

Reporting refers to the behind-the-scenes work we do to support your child’s therapy. It helps ensure we’re collaborating effectively with others involved in their care and that our sessions stay goal directed. Reporting can consist of:


· Communicating with participants allied health team to ensure multidisciplinary care and collaboration e.g. physiotherapist, speech therapist or occupational therapist.

· Communicating with other key stakeholders such as school teachers, swimming instructors, and sports coaches

· Documenting clinical progress notes after each session & preparing NDIS review reports.



Adult Exercise Physiology

Our accredited exercise physiologist, Emma, brings valuable experience from her previous role supporting adult NDIS participants in achieving their goals through both land-based and hydrotherapy interventions. Emma has worked with individuals across a wide range of conditions and presentations, including:


· Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

· Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

· Intellectual disability

· Down syndrome
